Sunday Evening TRAMA Net Pro Log

Good evening. Welcome to the Three Rivers Area Monitoring Association’s weekly Scanner Net. This is <call sign>, my name is < > and I am located in < > and will be the net control station this evening.

This net meets each Sunday evening on the North Hills Amateur Radio Club’s 147.090 repeater at 09:00 PM local time. Everyone is welcome to join in our conversation and it is your participation and the information that you exchange that makes this net enjoyable each week.

The purpose of this net is to discuss the hobby of monitoring the radio spectrum with a primary emphasis on the VHF/UHF bands and scanning. In addition we wish to raise the level of interest among hobbyists who enjoy monitoring and might consider joining the ranks of amateur radio operators.

Any legal aspect of the hobby is welcome for discussion including but not limited to frequency listings, radio equipment, antennas, station accessories, publications and Internet web resources.

With our emphasis on scanning, many of those that check into the net are involved in public safety related fields so topics of interest from those areas also welcome for discussion as are others that have a peripheral relationship to monitoring.

If you have questions or comments you would like to pose to the net, or would like to offer suggestions for topics of discussion on the net please refer them to the net manager Ken / WA3FKG. He can be found most evenings the on 147.09 repeater or feel free to contact him via email sent to wa3fkg@arrl.net.

As you check in please indicate to the net control station your name and location and if you have any questions or comments for the net. Stations wishing to check into the TRAMA net please call now.

Take check in for the net.

Acknowledge stations with comments and questions.

Ask for additional stations to check in.

State the topic for discussion of this evening’s net if you have one.

Ask if there are any other stations wishing to check in or if anyone has any final comments before you close the net.

I would like to thank the North Hills Amateur Radio Club for the use of the repeater this evening for our net. I would also like to invite everyone listening to attend the North Hills Amateur Radio Club meetings held on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of every month.  Please listen in on the club net Tuesday evenings at 08:30 PM local time here on the 147.09 repeater for the location and agenda of the meetings.  Also you can visit the club web site http://www.nharc.org for additional information.  You need not be a club member nor even hold and amateur radio license to attend meetings, all are welcome.

If you have friends that are listening on a scanner and would like to participate in any of these nets you may tell them to email  their questions or comments to wa3fkg@arrl.net.  Also please invite them to visit the North Hills Amateur Radio Club web page at www.nharc.org for information on how you can become an amateur radio operator and join in on the fun. My thanks to all the stations that checked in this evening. Good night and 73's.
